About Us
Back in the day, after the dot-com bubble burst and just before the millennium bug, the University of Oxford attempted to bring the Techies and Academics in one room under the umbrella of the newly unveiled Humanities Computing department to brainstorm ideas for mapping historical themes in a pictorial database (Pre-Google Map era). For the lack of a better expression it seemed a lot was lost in translation between the two fraternities.
Standing on the stairs of the Bodleian on the way out it dawned upon us to create a one stop shop of niche technologies catering to interdisciplinary clients. The divide between the Academic community and Techies was quite evident. A need for bridging the gap had clearly presented itself and behold Visioworx was conceived.
The company has always endeavoured to look at novel ways of solving problems through a great deal of cross disciplinary innovation. If astrophysics can be applied to Fintech and quantum to a casino in Vegas, then it's really all about breaking convention to see how complex and the most mundane of problems can be solved with a piece of tech. All it takes is the readiness to unlearn and then think totally out of the box.
Visioworx is driven by this thirst to unlearn and innovate by incorporating new disruptive technologies and offering them across interdisciplinary verticals. With an extraordinary team of talented imagineers we are always on the lookout for the next big challenge.
